Abstract

Liq. treatment of a textile loop is effected by passage through a guide duct located in a bath at least partially full of treatment liq. At one end of the duct the textile loop si guided by passage over a guide roll, and recycling circuit pumps treatment liq. from the bath and feeds it into the inlet of the duct at an angle to the duct axis whereby to advance the textile along teh duct and cause it to move in a closed path through the batch. The flow rate of treatment liq. pumped to the inlet of the duct can be controlled to control the advance rate of the textile around the closed path. During its movement the textile is not subjected to any compression forces thereby reducing the risk of damaging the textile.
