Abstract
For wagons with container hopper sloping downwards towards the vehicle centre reinforced by a support framework. The wagon underframe is formed of L section members and carries the usual type of buffing and drawgear and is carried on two bogies. It is constructed in such a way that it takes most of the traction forces, leaving the hopper to deal only with the forces due to its contents. With many wagons of this type the hopper also absorbs some of the traction forces. The main point of the patent is reduction of both weight and cost.
