Abstract

The union is intended for joining pipe ends which have been specially formed and has the advantage that only a small number of component parts are used. The connector also avoids the risk of deformation of the pipe ends. The end of one pipe has a ring shoulder (18) formed by a cold press. The other pipe has a raised end section (C) with external threading. The union rut (D) has a flange (23) that locates behind the ring shoulder and tightens on the thread on the other pipe. There is a packing seal (19) that fits between the two pipe ends.
