Abstract

The transformer, particularly a small transformer has a mounting system allowing it to be accommodated or a circuit board or chassis where the space available for the provision of clamping or fixing elements may be limited. The insulating mater (3) surrounding the winding (1) has a hole in its base in which is trapped a nut (4). A bolt (9) passing through the chassis (8) and into the nut serves to secure the transformer. The overall shroud of the transformer is provided with 'V' shaped grooves (17, 18) which allow the unit to slide into mating angled walls (19, 20) on the chassis or circuit board.
