Abstract

1,204,995. Electric couplings. LA TELEMECANIQUE ELECTRIQUE. 7 March, 1969 [7 March, 1968], No. 12170/69. Heading H2E. A connector for engagement in a loop of a serpentine resistor (Fig. 1, not shown) comprises a substantially U-shaped stirrup 5, a cylindrical member 14, for engagement in the loop, supported across the limbs of the stirrup, a clamping plate 16 and a clamping screw 17 to force the plate 16 towards member 14 to trap an encircling resistor element therewith. Two plates 22, 23 contain depressions 24 for holding conductors which are clamped therein by means of a nut 26 thus producing a good conductive connection between conductors, plate 22, stirrup 5 and resistor element. The stirrup may be formed from a plate cut to the shape of a cross which is bent to form a stirrup having a rectangular dish-like base containing openings 10 at its comers to facilitate air circulation.
