Abstract

The electrical terminals are attached to a component by using a stirrup, formed from a metal strip, into which the component is inserted, so as to be enclosed on three sides and partially enclosed on the fourth side. This stirrup is fixed to either pole of the component and a protective insulating material is introduced between the component and the stirrup, before the latter is split into two separate parts (17, 18) so that each part (17, 18) forms one of the component terminals. This system can be used for attaching the terminals of a miniature dry battery, with a polymerisable material introduced between the latter and the stirrup.
