Abstract

Multiple flexible tube connections can be made or broken simultaneously, being particularly useful for hydraulic or pneumatic systems between heavy goods tractors and trailers. Plates (4, 5) are made with as many holes as required (41, 51) and held together by screws (8) or clips so that the holes are in alignment. Each hole takes a tube connector (6, 7), those on one side (6) having extensions and ring seals to plug into those (7) on the other side. The external parts of the connectors have tube grips (61, 71) and the connectors are restrained axially by shoulders formed in the plates. If desired, additional rings (9) may be fitted to retain the connectors in the plates when no tube is connected.
