Abstract

The soil working machine is composed of a frame (1) supporting vertical rotating shafts (5) equipped with tines (2, 3, 4), and angle drive (6). The shafts are arranged in a line at right angles to the direction of travel of the implement. The length of the tines on the shaft decrease in size from top to bottom of the shaft so that the longer tines which absorb the most power work at the shallower depth and thus require less power. The area worked by the topmost tines overlaps. Of the components attaching the tines to the shaft, the latter is a safety device and shears under abnormal loads, allowing the tine to pivot upwards. Between and in front of each pair of shafts, cultivator blades are fitted between supports on the frame. Attachments secure the tines to the frame, the upper one shearing under excess loads, acting as a safety device.
