Abstract

The system delivers an ink mixture or a dye paste to a textile printing machine, using a number of basic colours, stored in mixtures with the maximum concentration of colouring material and employed with individual diluents, also held in store. with the aid of two adjustable metering pumps a basic dye and a diluent are delivered in the desired proportions to a mixer unit on a surface near the printing mechanism, where the correct shade is held ready for use. Each printing mechanism can have a storage vessel for a dye and a diluent, the pumps feeding these to the mixer unit near the respective plate. Where cylindrical plates are used, each with an internal scraper carried by the dye feed pipe, the mixer unit can be on the pipe, and controlled by the level detector for the dye inside the cylinder.
