Abstract

A resistive losses compensating device can compensate an ohmic resistor or a device with linear current-voltage characteristic such as an electronic switch. The device consists of a variable negative-resistance element, a resistor and a direct current source connected in series with the electronic switch. The various components of the device make-up a circuit such that the volt drop across the direct current source and the resistor is sensed by a comparator which controls the variable negative-resistance element so as to reduce to zero the volt-drop. The variable negative-resistance element has two operational amplifiers with feedback.
