Abstract

A tool carrier adaptor for different sizes of tool is internally threaded to screw onto the threaded end of an intermediate connector piece, with a flange near the top, terminating in an upper threaded portion for a collar held by set screws on the hexagonal portion of the drill, and a hole down the centre of the latter portion is continued inside the intermediate piece. An outer sleeve is clamped around the lower end of the intermediate piece between a lower and upper bushes to lock against the flange, with seals between the bushes and recesses inside the outer sleeve. This sleeve has an inner coolant chamber communicating with the central hole by a hole at right angles. This chamber communicates with a branch connection by a radial hole through the outer sleeve.
