Abstract

The headers are basically horizontally positioned and the overall arrangement has numerous variants. The bottom header can be provided with a septum dividing the header into two sections, with one of the sections fitted with the flow connection. The heating media then flows through the finned pipes connected to this section into the top header and from there through the rest of the pipes connected to the top header to the other section of the bottom header fitted with the return connection. By providing on both sides the same number of vertical runs an even temperature distribution is ensured. The headers, as well as the connecting pipes are arranged in the same plane.
