Abstract
Shell cored transformer for printed circuit board in telecommunication system. The core consists of a cylindrical stub in the centre of a base block made from a ferrite material. A similar type block fits over the base to produce an enclosed coil space. Part of the base block is elevated on two parallel sides to the height of the centre stub and leaves a space shaped for disc type spacers, insulating foils and printed circuit type winding coils of primary and secondary. These components fit like washers over the cylindrical stub. The planar winding foils extend beyond two sides of the block that has no elevated sections, and are connected with the printed circuit.
