Abstract

Adjustment of the light received by a photo sensitive element in electronic circuits is achieved by use of a transparent or translucent material whose position is adjustable with respect to the element. This permits adjustment of the operating threshold. An opaque collar with an internal thread is mounted in a hole in a thin instrument case. A screw with a knurled head is screwed into the bush and is locked by a locking nut. The screw is made of transparent or translucid material while the screw head and locknut are opaque. The screw may be hollow to house a photo-sensitive element. Light adjustments is achieved by adjustment of the screw.
