Abstract

Improved method for obtaining electroplated deposits, esp. of previous metals on small surfaces. The novelty is that a precise zone of the substrates is subjected to the impact of a wave of liq. electrolyte which flows on an inclined slope. The thickness of the liq. wave is pref. controlled by an injector nozzle or spout, or by an inclined slope or a combination of both. Alternatively, the liq. wave may be obtd. using an electrolyte flowing out of an upper reservoir. The inclined slope may be smooth or provided with profiles determining the shape of the wave. Electroplating any industrial part, esp. spring contacts for relays, e.g. the deposition of precious metals on reeds for reed relays. The deposit is restricted to a precise zone of the substrate without the need to use any type of mask.
