Abstract

Letter posting box with interchangeable container. The box consists of a roughly rectangular top section (2) with its bottom open, and a container (11). The top section has a pivoting door (5) mounted on an axis close to its top front edge (6). The door has a posting slot (9), places for plates carrying collection times etc. (19, 20) and a lock actuating locking bars through the sides of the box. The door has a spring which holds it in a horizontal, open position when it is unlocked and the letter are being removed. The container (11) is suspended on hooks inside the rear face of the top section, and can be of various sizes. Ribs strengthen and close the assembly, and the container can have ventilation holes in the base.
