Abstract

The letter-box has, for the introduction of mail, a horizontal slot in the top half of the boxes front surface. This opening is closed by a flap which may be left closed by means of a lock. The lower edge on the lower side projects inwards while an anti-burglary bar is placed parallel to the opening and is spaced from the inner free edge of the lower side so it is not possible to introduce a hand sufficiently downwards to try and remove the mail. This bar and the lower edge are rigidly linked to the flap which forms the lower side of the opening.
