280,803. Bardax, B. S. May 9, 1927. Fastenings for hinged doors.-A milk bottle holder adapted to be attached to the outside of a door &c. and designed to permit the withdrawal of an empty bottle but not of a full one consists of a box 10 having a hinged door 14 at the front closed by a lock and key, and a hinged top 11 carrying in a housing 23 a slide 24 on which is carried a spring-pressed latch 27, the arrangement being such that the slide 24 is normally so positioned that the latch is inoperative, but when a full bottle is placed on a false bottom 15 a pivoted lever 21 is actuated to lift a spring- controlled rod 20 which engages a tail 26 on the slide and so moves it toward to a position in which the latch 27 will act as an ordinary latch when the lid is shut.
