Abstract

The device connects coaxial cable centre and outer conductors as single cables or groups of such, in a manner that secures the cable firmly and provides a reliable electrical connection without straining or breaking the centre conductor. The connector is formed from a single shaped strip of copper or brass having tabs which are bent over to form an open elongated stirrup. Part of the strip folds over and traps the outer or screening conductor. Other tabs fold out such that pillars in a common mounting plate are trapped between them and may be soldered. The centre conductor is provided with a similar pillar.
