Abstract

A solderless interconnection system is for electrical apparatus connected via a cable. It is esp. for loudspeakers and vehicle radios where physical access may be difficult. The cable (37, 38) to be connected has multifilar conductors which are stripped for a short length and inserted into rectangular slots in the fixed terminals (33B, 34B) of the loudspeaker etc. The wire cores are held within these slots by the pressure exerted on them by a sprung arc (11) of an insulating material such as polypropylene which is inserted or withdrawn by hand. Slip-page of the arch is prevented by grooving and shaping of its end (13, 15).
