Abstract

A drive belt for moving a weft picker across a loom is guided by passage around the periphery of a guide wheel which is supported by a series of support rolls arranged around the periphery of the wheels and biassed against the periphery whereby the drive belt is nipped between the guide wheel and support rolls. The drive belt is accurately guided and the necessity of arranging accurate spacing between the guide wheel and support rolls in eliminated. The support rolls cannot become inaccurately positioned whereby wear on the belt is produced.
