Abstract

Air drawn in by the fan (2) has dust removed by the filter (1). The cleaned air is passed into the tube (3) which is at a strongly negative potential which destroys positive particles before arrival at the ionising stage (4) which is made up of very asymmetrical electrodes. The anodes are strips of constant width and thickness. The electron emitting cathodes are very fine wires of constant diameter placed asymmetrically at distances such that ozone is not produced. From stage (4) the air is ionised positively or negatively according to the needs of the user. The ionised air flow passes through staggered grills (5, 6). At the output of the second grill (6) the ionised air passes out of the generator.
