Abstract

The aspirator used in a pneumatic system for the circulation of goods includes two silencers. The first silencer unit (13) is situated around the inlet ventilator (14) and comprises an assembly of sound absorbing material. Incoming air is then propelled by a ventilation fan into a horizontal duct and thereafter through an L-bend into a vertical standpipe (3). The second silencer consists of a coaxial pipe (12) concentric with the standpipe, and is followed by a U-bend section, so that the air is discharged in a downward vertical direction.
