Abstract

The device consists of the main component (1) on which is mounted a jaw (2) which can be tightened by (3). This assembly holds the hook point downwards by its curve, with the shank held on the main component (1). The line is held on the round part (9) by an elastic attachment (4), then a loop is formed by passing the free end over notches (5) and under the flexible bow (6) and finally into aperture (7). After binding, the bow (6) is withdrawn to free the loop. The knot can then be pulled tight by pulling on the standing part of the line, below attachment n4). The notches (5) are designed so as to retain the line during the binding and also to release the line for tightening when the loope has been released from the bow (6).
