Abstract

A support (1) for a cable or pipe is made in two parts. One part (3) is semi-circular with hooks (3a) (3b) formed at each end. The other part (4) has several transverse slots (7) at one end to receive one of the hooks (3b). A clasp (13) of wire which is actuated by a lever (10) engages the other hook (3b) when the support is in place around a cable or pipe. A collar of foamed rubber (16) is fitted around the cable or pipe inside the support (1) to ensure a firm grip and accommodate minor variations of size.
