Abstract

The mechanism is contained within a housing having a coin insertion aperture (4), with an inserted coin allowing the rotation of a key for moving the bolt (7) into the locking position. The bolt (7) is moved upon rotation of the key via a cylinder with a projecting pin (34) engaging in a slot (36) running perpendicular to the direction of displacement of the bolt (7). A rotary finger (28) is pivoted to the housing and has a cut-out which moves in synchronism with the rotation of the key to allow this to be fully rotated into the locking position and so that the key can then be withdrawn.
