Abstract

The hood is for the evacuation of pollutants in suspension in the hot air, and is equipped with means for enlarging the area of its intake. Typically this can be achieved by a flat plate (7) mounted across the hook intake (8) and at a short distance from it, thus forming a reduced section peripheral passage. Compared with a conventional large area hood, the design allows pollutants to be collected into a smaller one from the same area of origin. The hood has an upper outlet collar (3) attached to an extraction system and a filter (6).
