Abstract

The wooden top (1) has mounted underneath two sets of support legs each comprising square section tubular uprights (4), a lower spacer bar (5) and an upper pivot bar (2) with brackets (3). A stay (6) pivots on each lower spacer, with the free end notched to fit over a pin in a channel (7) fitted under the table. Locking is effected by a quick action lever clamp (15) with a length of angle iron (18) on the end to hold the stays in place. To fold the table the clamp is released, one leg is folded flat with the stay rearwards and the other leg folded similarly over it. The clamp is then retightened.
