Abstract

The partition has a framework made up of cardboard tubes (11) with external diameters of approximately six centimetres. The tubes (11) are vertical, rigid and spaced apart by roughly forty centimetres and are placed on sockets (12) which are nailed to the floor (13) and ceiling (14). Mineral wool filling (17) is placed between each pair of tubes and covered by plastic sheets (15, 15a) and galvanised steel netting (18, 18a) fixed by hooks (19) to the tubes (11). The two netting surfaces receive plaster layers (20, 21). The sockets (12) are formed by sticking a plate (22) onto a tubular foot (23). The projecting sides of the plate (22) has several nails holes. Rails (26) spaced about one and a half metres from the floor give additional reinforcement to the tubes (11).
