Abstract

A reducing device for a shotgun, to enable smaller bore cartridges to be fixed instead of the normal size for the gun, has a main tube (6) with a threaded portion (6a)) at the front end onto which screws a brass nut (9) which engages the muzzle of the barrel (1) and centres the tube, locking up against a resilient washer (10). The breech end of this tube terminates in a thin walled portion (8) enclosed by an outer tube (7) which has a flange (7a) around its extremity, which fits the breech of the gun, and which is cut away to clear the cartridge extractor (2). The outer tube (7) has a hollow (7c) to clear the pin extending from the extractor.
