Abstract

The body (1) has a primary drain reservoir (2) and also a secondary one (3) below. There is a drain orifice (5) joining the two reservoirs through the separating part (4). There is an inlet hole (6) and a passage (7) leading to the primary reservoir. The open bottom float (11) has an upper magnetic disc (15) which is attracted by a fixed magnet (16) when the float has risen high enough. This ensures that the float lifts a spindle (20) opening the drain passage (5). The pressure in the secondary reservoir (3) causes two upper pistons to move downwardly so that shafts (25) lower the float from the magnet (16) and close the drain passage, primary drain reservoir gas pressure then returning the pistons to their upper positions.
