Abstract

A driving mirror of periscope type is mounted on the vehicle door so as to enable the driver to see the road ahead for the purpose of overtaking a vehicle in front which blocks the line of sight of the driver. It has two mirrors, the outer one being directed ahead of the vehicle and reflecting the view onto a second mirror which then reflects the view to the driver. The mirrors are supported by a suitable column so that the driver can adjust the mirrors as required. The mirror may incorporate a set of small windscreen type wipers.
