Anti-dazzle attachments comprise polarising screens attached to the headlamps and polarising screens mounted at the driver's eye-level, in the form of glasses or windscree. The axes of polarisation of the two sets of screens are mounted parallel and at 45 degrees to the vertical, so that the axis of polarisation of the eye-level screens and the axis of polarisation of the headlamps of an oncoming vehicle form an angle of 90 degrees. The screens are produced by oriented crystallise of an alcoholic soln of a basic quinine valerate on a translucent support of acrylic resin of PVC.
