1443677 Vehicle rear view system FORD MOTOR CO Ltd 27 Sept 1974 [2 Oct 1973] 42013/74 Heading B7J A vehicle driven from position 11 has a plane interior rear-view mirror 15 and a convex exterior rear-view mirror 19, so that the rear field of vision provided by the mirrors together with the driver's own peripheral field of vision 24 substantially eliminates the "blind-spot" at the rear of the car. The inner boundary 22 of the field of vision of the convex mirror subtends an angle of at least 10 degrees with a vertical longitudinal plane 14 through the car. The exterior mirror is provided on the opposite wing in the case of a right-hand drive car.
