Abstract

Dazzle is eliminated by polarised screens, filters or prisms in the same plane, but at 90 deg. to each other, in the line between the viewer's eye and the light source. The filters etc., can be incorporated in a vehicle driver's spectacles and the car windscreen, or in vehicle headlights. One plane may be horizontal and the other vertical. The system can be moved through a small angle from the main axis to vary the anti-dazzle effect.
