Abstract

The cage is for maintenance work on a mast carrying multiple floodlights, and has two side platforms (7a, 7b) pivoting on its base. These can be folded up against it, or let down to form extensions of the cage floor. Guide rollers can be provided, engaging with a rail running up the mast, and also others bearing against guides on the floodlight assembly. The advantage is that there is no need for ladders or platforms on the floodlight assembly itself, to give access to the individual lamps.
