Abstract

The gate slides in the lengthwise direction when opening and shutting, and is entirely supported on rollers, rotating in a fixed stand alongside the gateway. Two parallel rows of rollers can be used, working against a beam on the underside of the gate, or alternatively three, the central one bearing against the bottom and the others against the top part of the beam. The latter can be of round section, with profiled sections fixed to it constituting the roller races. The rollers can be independently adjustable for height, and mounted in supports attached by ropes to vertical columns.
