Abstract

1,255,508. Formwork support bracket. J. K. STRICKLAND. 24 Feb., 1969 [29 Feb., 1968], No. 9680/69. Heading E1S. A bracket for supporting beams, which in turn support floor formwork, is fixed to a column forming part of the final structure, and includes a bearing shoe 20 rotatably mounted in the top of a threaded member 16 which is vertically adjustable relative to the body 14 of the bracket, and a second loadbearing portion comprising a roller 60 which is mounted at a level intermediate the extreme upper and lower levels at which the shoe 20 can be positioned. The roller 60 allows lateral movement of the formwork to be achieved after lowering of the shoe 20 and hence the formwork.
