Abstract
Two switching push-pull transistors (Q1, Q2) are connected at their emitters and coupled by their collectors to opposite ends of a transformer secondary. The transistors are driven by two control transistors (Q3, Q4) coupled by their emitters to the switching transistors (Q3, Q4) coupled by their collectors separately via two resistors (R1, R2) to two auxiliary secondary windings (S3, S4). The two free ends of the auxiliary windings are connected. The control transistors therefore supply the switching transistors bases with current from the auxiliary windings. During brief interruptions to the auxiliary winding current the switching transistors are controlled by circuit containing a fourth transistor (Q5), two diodes (D2, D3) and three resistors (R6, R7, R8).
