Abstract

In the mfr. of packaging for a container and a plaque-shaped tab, using a heat-shrinkable plastics film, the container is contacted with the tab, the film is wrapped about them and heat-shrunk, or the film is fastened to the tab, wrapped about the container and heat-shrunk. If the 2nd procedure is adopted then the film is pref. adhesively bonded to the tab, e.g. by EVA adhesive. The film may be tubular. The tab may be cardboard, metal or plastics. Process is for wrapping rel. small containers e.g. bottles, cartons and vials.
