Abstract

Draining vessel with a vertical front wall and a curved back wall approximately to the height of the front wall and rising from the bottom edge of the front wall to practically twice its height. Between the sidewalls of the vessel, a perforated draining screen is pivoted at one edge on a horizontal axis parallel to the front wall, with the other edge of the screen following the radiused inner surface of the curved back wall. The vessel is used for draining processed fruits, vegetables, cereals such as grapes, applies, tomatoes etc., in the manufacture of drinks, e.g. wine, tomato juice, beer, cider.
