Abstract

The device to break the low voltage electric ignition circuit has a conducting, rotating disc connected to earth. The disc has isolating contacts, one for each spark-plug, and there is a fixed contact, isolated from earth, over the disc. The cutting of the low voltage current is achieved when the contact on the rotating disc is totally under the fixed one. The disc has several isolating contacts for each spark plug so there is a multiple ignition for each power stroke. The fixed contact projects radially inwardly to the centre of the disc and bears against the periphery of the disc.
