Abstract

Process for isolating metals from their sulphide ores by using an acid soln. with a max. pH of 3.5 in an electrolytic cell contg. a cathode and an anode which comprises a coherent mass of finely divided particles of the chosen sulphide, and then isolating the metal from the electrolyte. The process is esp. used for the recovery of Cu, Pb, Zn, Mo, Bi and Ag.
