Abstract

A plate (1) is fixed to wall, parallel to door and with hinge pin support (8) protruding from it. Between two holes (2), central part of plate (1) is holow and opens at one end onto one of narrow faces of plate which is perpendicular to holes (2). Into housing (4) enters flat sided runner (8a), integral to hinge support (8) and drilled with two rows of two holes (10a and 10b), parallel to fixing holes (2). Holes (10a, 10b) receive pins (36) of the hinge pin (38) which can be inserted into one or other of the rows. Screws (28) lock the hinge pin. This hinge is easily adapted to different types of door and can be used for right-hand or left-hand opening.
