Abstract
Solar energy is captured by means of mirrors which are parabolic in section, and which are arranged in a line so that the focus is a straight line, along which focus a steel tube near. A fluid, such as liq. Na. flows through the tube and circulates through a network of pipes in a refractory block. Heat from this block can be used for a number of purposes such as steam operation, treatment of the water or polluted water etc. Pref. the angle of inclination of the mirrors is controlled automatically.
