Abstract

The method is for obtaining a design, photograph etc., includes obtaining a film of the desired size and copying this to produce either a positive or negative using a metal plate on which the light sensitive enamel surface is placed. An appropriate acid is then used to engrave and retouch the metal plate which is developed. The enamel remaining on the metal is removed using a solvent or emery cloth etc. A covering of paint is applied and paint removed from the non etched surface with either charcoal or emery cloth thus producing the design.
