Abstract
Body comprises a porous material produced by fritting, agglomerating or compacting a powder, whose open pores are(partially) filled with a metallic constituent. The latter comprises a first component A and a second component B which (W.r.t. A) is vastly in excess and has a much lower melting pt. A and B form a alloy of m. ptB. The choice of A and B can be varied depending on the desired props. Process is used to form composite bodies of improved physical, mechanical, thermal and electrical props, or alternatively of porous metallic bodies by elimination of the original porous body.
