Abstract

Oven comprises a number of steam tubes in a rectangle, forming a closed circuit, with a slanted portion at the base. The rectangle is divided by transverse tubes into smaller rectangles; these form four superimposed cooking chambers. The slanted part is heated by a burner opening into a heating tunnel; the gases leaving the tunnel are noticeably less hot when they reach the heating chamber at the base, so that the exposed tubes are in no danger of explosion. The relatively small chimney is fitted with a damper. The oven is partic. simple and operates very efficiently; the temp. is raised rapidly whilst avoiding any risk of damage to the tubes.
