Abstract

The tool comprises a stack of mould plates joined back to back in pairs, by spacers allowing ventilation between the plates, several such pairs being linked in a stack. The stack can collapse vertically to mould gaps controlled by peripheral spacers between opposing mould faces. The stack is mounted on a trolley for movement between a preheating oven, a press and a chamber for passing cooling air between the moulds. It is for moulding, embossing or hot stamping several thermoplastic sheets at once.
