Abstract

The pieces to be treated are degreased, polished to remove any calamine or rust, heated in a furnace progressively broth to and maintained at 300-400 degrees C for some hrs., slowly cooled, and lightly polished to modify the tint. A clear protective varnish is finally applied by sparying. The manipulations are effected in a dry atmos., with rubber gloves.
